Enumerator

The Enumerator will be responsible for collecting accurate and complete census information from assigned households using approved digital census tools and procedures. Enumerators are expected to follow all instructions carefully, complete assigned workloads, and ensure that the data collected reflects the actual field situation.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Collect data using approved census tools, tablets, procedures, and field protocols.

2.    Visit all assigned households and structures within the assigned area as guided by the field plan and supervisor instructions.

3.    Accurately record responses during household interviews using the digital census application.

4.    Ensure that all required questions are properly completed before submission.

5.    Avoid duplicate entries, incomplete interviews, and incorrect household records.

6.    Report partial interviews, absent households, refusals, or field challenges to the Supervisor for follow-up.

7.    Use assigned listing and mapping information to support proper household identification and coverage.

8.    Maintain confidentiality of all information collected during the exercise.

9.    Provide feedback on the questionnaire, CAPI application, field procedures, and operational processes.

10. Correct errors identified by the Supervisor before final submission.

Minimum Requirements

1.    OND, HND, Teacher’s Certificate, or higher qualification. Possession of a BSc/BA is an added advantage

2.    Previous experience in surveys, censuses, listing exercises, or related fieldwork will be an added advantage.

3.    ICT & Digital Data Collection Skills

4.    Knowledge of Local Area/Community/Language

5.    Ability to use digital data collection devices such as tablets or smartphones.

6.    Ability to follow instructions, complete assigned workload, and work under field conditions.

7.    Fluency in English and relevant local languages.
