ICT Support Officer

The ICT Support Officer will support the deployment, testing, and field use of digital census systems, tablets, connectivity tools, synchronization processes, and related ICT infrastructure. This role is important for ensuring that field teams can collect, validate, and transmit data without unnecessary delays.

Key Responsibilities

v  Support the deployment, configuration, and testing of tablets and digital census applications.

v  Troubleshoot hardware, software, login, synchronization, connectivity, and application-related issues.

v  Support supervisors and enumerators in the use of digital census tools and inbuilt reporting features.

v  Ensure that tablets, applications, internet connectivity, and other ICT components function properly during fieldwork.

v  Support the use of supervisor tablet reports for monitoring completeness, partial interviews, duplicates, and daily progress.

v  Assist with resolving issues affecting data synchronization from field devices to the server.

v  Report recurring ICT problems to the technical team for timely resolution.

v  Maintain records of ICT issues, devices supported, faults resolved, and unresolved technical challenges.

v  Support field teams to ensure that ICT challenges do not affect data quality, coverage, or timely reporting.

Minimum Requirements

ü  Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

ü  Experience supporting digital data collection systems, tablets, mobile applications, or field ICT operations.

ü  Strong technical troubleshooting skills.

ü  Ability to work under pressure and provide timely support in the field.

ü  Knowledge of CSPro, CAPI systems, mobile data collection tools, or server synchronization will be an added advantage.
